A look back at a successful trade fair

30. Nov 2021

At the ITS World Congress, which took place from 11 to 15 October 2021 in Hamburg, experts from the mobility, logistics and IT industries, as well as from associations and politics came together for the industry meeting point. Innovations from the fields of intelligent mobility, networked traffic and smart logistics were presented under the motto of “Experience Future Mobility Now”. With more than 13,000 guests, around 4,000 visitors on the Public Day and 400 exhibitors, it was the most

successful world congress to date since its founding 35 years ago.

This is a fantastic success for the city of Hamburg, which hopes to position itself internationally as a laboratory and model city for urban mobility in the context of the ITS strategy with the support of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. The LSBG|DigiLab is proud to contribute to this objective with its projects and digital solutions:

Special presentations took place for the “Roads”, “Traffic jam forecast”, “DigITAll” and “GeoNetBake” projects, which could provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the work carried out in the projects of the LSBG|DigiLabs in the field of digitalisation of traffic and its infrastructure.

Among them was Anjes Tjarks, Senator for Transport and Mobility Turnaround of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, who visited the LSBG|DigiLab to inform himself about the status of digital solutions (4 of the total of 42 anchor projects within the ITS strategy).
